What is the difference between CACES 6 and 1A?
In category 6 the operator position rises above 1.20 m with the driver. In 1A the operator stays at ground level and the lift does not exceed 1.20 m.
How many questions are there to prepare for CACES 6?

Is the theory test the same for every category?
Yes. The R489 theory test is the same for every category: 100 questions across 4 themes. You need at least 70/100 and half the points in each theme. The categories differ mainly in the practical test.
How long does it take to prepare?
Usually two to three weeks at 15 minutes a day. A good benchmark: score above 80/100 on several mock exams in a row before test day.
